Not far away from the bustling Hanoi capital, but Ninh Binh always gives visitors a calm and gentle atmosphere.

Aboriginal village

Kong movi’s background: Skull Island was filming in the ecological complex of Trang An - Ninh Binh. In order to enter the village you will have to go through a small island, then a series of temples will see a sign that records the entrance to the set. Climb up the hundred steps you will reach the gallery – where there is the ship of the expedition simulation as in the movie. Going through the boat, you can reach the Aboriginal village!

The restored Aboriginal village of Ninh Binh consists of about 40 huts made of bamboo. All are on a fairly large ground. They are interlaced on the two sides of the rocky road.

Another special thing is that a lot of local people dress up like the indigenous people in the movie, from face to dress and sit in huts. So visitors come to feel like living in the movie!

Dance Cave

The cave is located at the foot of Mount Dance (Mount Mua), in the ecotourism complex of Khe Dau Ha village, Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. When you come to the Cave, you will be able to try your toughness as you climb the mountain peaks through 486 stone steps, and from the top of the mountain you can admire the whole beauty of Tam Coc area with wings. The rice fields are large and green.

In the center of the monument is a large artificial blue lake. The space is very beautiful by the green trees. White steps lead to the top of the mountain are like the road to fairyland.

At the top of the mountain is a Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara looking down to the ancient land. With the tranquility and the wide view of a large area of Hoa Lu, many people are overwhelmed.

From National Highway 1A towards Ninh Binh city, you will turn left into Trang An or Bich Dong, then along Provincial Road 491C to reach the Cave.

Van Long wetland

Not only is the nature reserve, Van Long wetland is also an attractive place. Van Long is famous for its wild quiet beauty with the water surface look like a giant mirror. The watercolor painting reflects clearly the strong lines of the limestone massifs that have the right shape, such as Meo Cao Mountain, Mang Xoi Mountain, Hom Sach Mountain, Da Ban Mountain, Nghien Mountain, Mo Coi Mountain, Co Tien Mountain.

Am Tien Cave

Am Tien cave is located in the ancient relic of Hoa Lu, in Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, about 10 km from the center of the city. Am Tien Cave is surrounded by four mountains, creating a separate world. The scenery here is majestic, poetic but very sadand mysterious.

In order to get into the cave, after passing the gate, you have to go down a passage on the left hand side, next to the large lake full of water lilies and lotuses, fish and turtle.  The water here is particularly green with plenty of moss.

Three Caves (Tam Coc)

Tam Coc is located in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, where it is also called Ha Long Bay on the land or the second bét cave in Vietnam. Tam Coc, meaning "three caves", includes Ca cave, Hai cave and Ba cave. All three caves are formed by the Ngo Dong River pierced through the mountains.

Like Trang An, to visit Tam Coc, tourists have to go by boat, down the romantic river Ngo Dong, with clear water to see the three caves. The scenery of Tam Coc is characterized by a harmonious combination of rock and water. The mountains here carry varied shapes, one after another, one to the other.

Sunshine Valley (Thung Nang)

Thung Nang is a tourist destination in Dam Khe Hamlet, Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. This is a group of historical relics, scenic pristine beauty , converging many elements of tourism resources such as spiritual tourism, ecotourism, climbing ...

The road to Thung Nang is about 3 km by boat. From Thach Bich wharf (Tam Coc - Bich Dong resort), immersed in the vast space of the sunlit valley as its name, you will feel like immersing yourself in the immense universe, ad you can enjoy the fresh, quiet atmosphere.

In the empty fields, on the way into the Thung Nang, there are many peaceful quiet houses of the local people. In the middle of the road there is an ancient temple – Voi temple, with stone architecture carved elaborately and sophisticatedly.

Bai Dinh Pagoda

Bai Dinh Pagoda is located in the Trang An Complex, about 15 km from Ninh Binh City, located in the west of the ancient historical relic Hoa Lu, is the largest temple in Vietnam, is known for many records like: The biggest bronze statue in Southeast Asia, the largest bronze bell in Southeast Asia, the corridor with the largest Buddha statue ...

There are hundreds of Arhat statues placed along the entrance and exit of the temple. When passing each statue, many people often touch their hands to expect good things in life.

The temple has main attractions such as: Tam Quan Gate, bell tower, Quan Am temple…. To get to an attraction, you have to go through a fairly long stretch of road, most of which are steps. This is a way of expressing the patience and the desire to be in the purity of human life.

Bai Dinh Pagoda is open from 6am all day of the week and usually closes at 9pm, when guests almost finish sightseeing. Security in Bai Dinh pagoda is quite good and things are well managed. However, visitors should keep in mind the preservation of personal property and do not throw waste indiscriminately.

Trang An

One of the most popular tourist attractions in the province of Ninh Binh is Trang An. The scenic wild nature of Trang An has been recognized as a natural heritage and world cultural heritage. It is so majestic rivers flowing through the limestone mountains, forming numerous mysterious natural caves.

Bich Dong

Bich Dong is located 2 km from Tam Coc wharf, which means "green cave". It is named after the vicar general Nguyen Nghiem, the father of the great poet Nguyen Du set for the cave in 1773. The front of the cave is a bent branch of Ngo Dong river rolling on the side of the mountain, across the river is the rice paddies.

Cuc Phuong National Park

Cuc Phuong National Park is a famous tourist destination for ecology and environment. Cuc Phuong attracts several hundred thousand visitors a year. Visitors come here to explore the rich fauna and flora, admire the beautiful natural landscape, participate in ecotourism programs, relax, research cultural and historical value... The garden center is located in Cuc Phuong, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh.
There are some tourist sites in the forest area: Nguoi Cave, Con Moong Cave, Trang Khuyet Cave, Son Cung Cave, Pho Ma Cave, Thuy Tien Cave, May Bac Peak, Yen Quang Lake…
