Sunflower Garden, Nghia Dan

Sunflower Garden covers an area of 100 acres, lies within 19/5 Farm, Nghia Son village, Nghĩa Đàn district, Nghệ An province. The garden resides next to Hồ Chí Minh Highway. Each time the sunflower garden blooms, this place becomes an interesting stop for young people who want to discover the bright, pure beauty of sunflowers.

Each year, there are two sunflowers season: from March to April, and from November to December. These are the best time to enjoy the blooming sunflowers to its fullest. If you start from Hanoi, you only need 1 day for an coming, watching, photographing and returning. For that reason, you can put this destination into the list of weekend entertainment.   

Especially, tourists can join the sunflowers festival with various activities such as beauty contest, traditional games, fireworks, and more….

Pu Mat National Forest

Pu Mat National Forest is located at a land between three provinces: Anh Sơn, Con Cuong, and Tuong Duong in Nghe An. Being a famous natural preserve, Pu Mat National Forest has wide variety of plants in huge area. In here, tourists can immerse themselves in this natural place with activities like kayaking; visiting Phả Lài dam; Khe Kem fall; enjoying local dishes such as bamboo cooked rice, fishes in Giăng river of Đan Lai ethnic group. Especially during hot days, coming to Pu Mat forest is like coming to cold region of Sapa or Dalat.

Cua Lo Beach

Cua Lo Beach is located at Cua Lo Beach township, and 16 kilometers away from Vinh city, 300 kilometers away from Hanoi. Cua Lo Beach was discovered by French and opened as vacation destination since 1907. But only since 2000s that this place has become a popular tourists attraction. Cua Lo Beach is huge, soft sand-shore, nice waves and good services.

Kim Lien – Nam Dan

This is place is famous, partly because it is birthplace of Ho Chi Minh. In Kim Lien – Nam Dan, visitors can witness the beauty of the nature, the traditional songs of ví dặm, and relics related to Ho Chi Minh. Kim Lien historical heritages include Mrs. Hoàng Thị Loan’s grave, mother of Ho Chi Minh on Dai Hue mountain; Nui Chung heritage which has the word ‘king’ and connected to other notable destinations in Nam Dan such as Mai Emperor’s shrine, Phan Boi Chau’s monument.

Quynh Beach

Quynh Beach actually is not the name for a beach, but actually a mutual name for a group of 7 beaches. They are next to each other in 7 hamlets of Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai township. These beaches still have their own names: Quỳnh Phương, Quỳnh Liên, Quỳnh Bảng, Quỳnh Lương, Quỳnh Minh, Quỳnh Nghĩa, and Tiến Thủy, which are 65 kilometers away from Vinh city.

Quynh Beach relates to Den Con – one of the four most sacred shrines in Nghe An. In Quynh Lien and Quynh Bang, visitors will be pleased with gentle sand slopes and calm waves. 

Que Phong Waterfalls Area

Waterfalls area in Que Phong district is 170 kilometers away to the Northeast of Vinh city. The area comprises of many most beautiful and largest waterfalls in Central Vietnam, Nghe An. The area spreads dozens of kilometers from Sao Va Fall (Tien Phong village) to Hanh Dich village’s territory.

Located not far from Sao Va Fall is Hủa Muong hamlet (Hanh Dich village), where 7-floor falls with rock … near terraces. Besides the falls are Hủa Mương ancient Thai hamlet. There are traditional nhà sàn with roofs made of Cunninghamia wood. Brocade tailoring or traditional dishes of the locals still exist at this small hamlet.

Lan Chau Island

Lan Chau Island lies next to Cua Lo beach. The locals call this island as Ru Coc (roughly translated as Toad Island) because it looks like a toad getting to the sea. Lan Châu Island, with its special location, splits Cua Lo beach into two distinctive areas. At this island, all island’s feet look like submerge under the water during high-tide. During the low-tide, The West side of Lan Châu Island connects with the land, becomes a peninsula. The East side of Lan Chau Island has rock cliffs spreads toward the sea. As the time flies, wind and waves has shaped these rocks into various fascinating forms.

On top of Lan Chau Island, tourists can visit king Bao Dai’s villa. This is the very first attraction when travelers step on the island. Here, you can look at entire village area and  Cua Lo Port from above.
